The laboratory here serves as a zonal centre for microscopic diagnosis of tuberculosis. It has been partly equiped by The German Leprosy and Tuberculosis Relief Association (DAHW) which is the organization internationally recorgnized for the control and treatment of leprosy and tuberculosis. This association in conjuction with the State Tuberculosis Control Unit of Anambra State Ministry of Health also supplies on a regular basis, drugs and other neccessities for the treatment and control of tuberculosis.
The workers in our laboratory are frequently retrained to meet up with the current expectations of the microscopic diagnosis of tuberculosis. The services in tuberculosis control are rendered free.
TUBERCULOSIS CONTROL
The State Malaria Control Booster Project of the Anambra State Ministry of Health with technical support from Support to Nigeria Malaria Programme (SuNMaP) partners with our hospital in malaria control and treatment. Under this partnership, malaria control commodities, including; long lasting insecticidal nets, Rapid Diagnostic Tests and Anti - Malaria drugs are made available to the public free of charge
MALARIA CONTROL
Nnewi Diocesan Hospital offers training opportunities to students of Nnamdi Azikiwe University College of Nursing Sciences for their clinical experience. We equally render this training services to Iyienu Hospital School of Midwifery and Schools of Health Technology at Inyi-Enugu State, Obosi-Anambra State and Okporo-Imo State.
Also, Nnewi USA Inc. (NUSA) use this hospital as a pivot for executing their medical missions. During these missions, people within and outside Nnewi recieve free medical and surgical treatments.
Chicason Group of Companies which sponsors medical missions also use the hospital theatre for their surgical cases.
